Dr Sam Illingworth
Dr Sam Illingworth is a co-founder of the Manchester Metropolitan Game Centre and an Associate Professor in Academic Practice at Edinburgh Napier University. He is an internationally-recognised expertise in interdisciplinary studies, with a background in environmental science. His research involves using poetry and games to engender meaningful dialogue between scientists and society. Sam was a founding member and co-director of the Manchester Game Studies Network before his move to Edinburgh, and now acts as an advisory member with a special interest in science communication.

Dr Jana Wendler
Jana is a game designer and facilitator, and an urban geographer. She discovered street games when she moved to Manchester in 2009 and has been creating playful experiences ever since. Her games, both digital and non-digital, are about telling stories and raising questions. She collaborates with researchers and organisations to make complex ideas accessible, and supports others in developing their own playful approaches. She has worked on topics including health data ethics, flood risk management and youth loneliness, and her work has been presented at Bluedot festival, the Horsfall and various museums.

Hwa Young
Hwa Young Jung is a multidisciplinary artist working in the arts, cultural and sciences, facilitating collaborative projects and workshops. She works with people to co-create projects, often using games and play to explore social issues. Based in the Northwest (of England) she has been producing work with a range of people (Young People in libraries, care workers, freshwater biologists, criminologists) in England and internationally for almost ten years.

Matteo Menapace
Matteo Menapace is a game designer and educator, recently artist in residence at the V&A. Matteo makes cooperative board games inspired by social issues, such as food politics, memory loss and capitalism. He also teaches people how to make games that encourage collaboration and help people navigate complex conversations.
